A Bowl Of Clementines

I just couldn't resist these when I was in town yesterday.

I cleaned out the cut glass bowl in the kitchen (which for some reasons was full of boiled sweets, Thai coins and receipts...? What a waste of a pretty bowl!) and popped these beauties in there, along with a few chestnuts and some of my favourite gypsophila.
I'm enjoying the unlikely combination of the festive fruit and the summery flowers :)

Rob and I are both sickies right now, so we're holed up at home. I'm baking things (which of course only we can eat for fear of spreading germs - darn!) and roasting a few chestnuts to snack upon.

Happy Festive Cosiness to you!

Lights and baking action!

Things are quieting down post-wise. Thank you so much for all your orders! I'm planning lots of fun things for the New Year, including a lovely big print sale and new wearables yay!

A couple of days ago, I stumbled upon this little lady, who I made last year:
So she is now happily swinging around on the tree.

Amelia is flying all the way to Canada today to have some snowy Christmas fun with her dad and aunties! I will miss my little helper.

I took more swishy, swooshy photos of the tree lights. i don't know why, but I really enjoy it.

I had better get on with more of this:
I love cooking, but hardly ever bake for some reason, so I'm sure I'm not alone in giving it a go this Christmas :)
These are yesterday's experiment: Banana and chocolate spice cookies with black pepper. It works!
Yummo!

Another giveaway! Free Bookish girls...

Yes! There's another bookish girl giveaway this week! Also, what we're up to here in The Castle...

(Christmas Tree snaps)

The Giveaway!

All you need to do is take a look at my most recently painted little book page girl:
"Book Worship"
She sure does love books, doesn't she?!
Have a think - what three books would be YOUR choice as part of your book-worship? Whaich favourites would you have if this was you in the pic?
Just let me know by messaging me either on the Facebook Page, the Etsy shop page, or right here.

When everyone has entered, as usual, I'll choose my favourite ten, then put them into a random number generator (that way, it's part luck, part me and I don't have to feel guilty for choosing one person over others!).

The winner gets one 8" x 10" print and can choose either the image above, or one of these five book girl prints:
"Armfulls of Books"                    "Noemie on the Banks of the Seine"

"Patrice"

                                       "Constance"                                                "Anais"
 GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

This is my life right now (well, not always including the mulled wine, but we're attempting to be festive - see comfy blanket - AND productive...the former of those often slips, but not the latter so far!)

Shipping update:
All orders are shipping the morning I get them through ie. I wake at am GMT and lots of you lovelies have ordered your goodies. I scream around the house, getting them ready for you before the midday post goes.
I'm afraid I cannot now guarantee that orders will reach you before Christmas Day, but am doing my best :)

<< Oh and these little "Book Worship" ACEO prints are going out with each and every order!

A BIG THANK YOU!!

Festivities, please!

Today, our weather is oh-so-British:

I swam into town and back with the post for you lovelies. Really hoping your recentl christmas orders arrive in time - the best I can do is post the morning after they come through...GMT that is.

I'm loving the way th bookmarks look when they're all packaged up and ready to go, especially with the toadstool-backed free ACEOs :)

I haven't had a moment to get down to any proper Holiday decorating yet! Somehow, I feel terribly guilty, epecially with Amelia in the house! So...the rest of today will be dedicated to scrubbing and cleaning up, then we're getting the tinsel out tonight, after the school disco!
Weeheeee!

New for 2013

These are just a few of the new projects which are on the go for the New Year!
I'm so excited to get to work on them and am currently in the throes of packaging and posting your orders (Thank you!!) before that can happen.
There will be...
Some pretty, new and deluxe ceramic wearables (so you can be your very own art gallery, or decorate your friends and family as such):

Additions to the already existing postcard packs. You may recognise Dita here:
I've reordered some more postcards of her as, selfishly, she is one of MY favourite vintage book-page ladies and I just couldn't miss her out...

I got a little obsessed with the way the lovely light played on the Gypsophila, dark wood and paper - so vintag-ey, old-fashioned-ey lovely-ey!

A couple of wearables close-ups. I'll take better photos in daylight soon!

May you have an amazing run-up to the big Holiday, wherever and whoever you are! I'm sure I'll be blogging about something again very soon (and will hopefully be out with the camera on tomorrow's frosty morning too!)

Folksy Stocking Fillers!

Blogs at this time of year are especially difficullt to keep up to!

I've realised that I'm rather biased in my love and support of Etsy, so am instead, just for the moment, turning my attention to one of our local and very cool art and craft websites Folksy.

Here are some of my favourite picks (and just right for that stocking...):

Do have a look around there - you won't regret it!

Christmas pendant necklaces

Happy Thursday to you!
Well, as you can see, I've redecorated (again) around here. The old design just looked unfinished and not very professional. this is somewhat better, methinks.
Also, there are changes afoot in the shop which you can see from the sidebar there >>
...We have NEW PENDANATS!

While threading and taking photos of them (by fairylight), I have been listening to French music. This Magritte tune is one of my favourites, with lyrics such as "cette un croissant de lune" :)

Yay! Really, I've been meaning to get around to them for ages, but other projects got in the way. Must stay focused!
There's still time to ship around the world in time for Christmas (I'd recommend you order before the end of the first week of December if you see anything you like though).
We have two circus girls (above and below)
A Mr Darcy for you die-hard Pride and Prejudice fans!

Red hair and pink ribbon wowzers - not for the feint-hearted! ...and a few more ladies too!

Hope you like them!

I have to go now because my fingers are freezing and I can't type too well anymore!

Toodlepip!
